THE WEEK AHEAD:

It has been a while since I last met up with Eriko. When we had time and were together, we would have so much discussion about various nail art, nail techniques and nail tools in each other's country! I do miss her but I guess I'll just make do with the memory of our interview and features for now.

Both of us are featured in Japan's popular Nail Up! Vol.58 issue and in that article (see below), it describes our journey in the nail industry in detail. Coming from a little red dot, I am, of course, very honoured to be working with Eriko and getting featured in a Japanese magazine (not just any mag, but Nail Up!, which is pretty amazing!).

My journey in Singapore's nail industry has been a long and tedious one, making mistakes along the way and learning some valuable lessons from past mistakes. Alas, my hard work has paid off in the most unimaginable way and I'm thankful for all those who had came into my life and contributed to The Pink Room International Nail Academy.

It was Easter Day last sunday and one of my student gave me this set of Easter Bunny ears and nose. It's super adorable and my staffs and I decided to put it up on our glass doors (HAHA)!!

On a much somber tone, I'm glad my students thought of me on Easter Day and got me such a cute deal. THANK YOU AL

On a side note, I've been browsing through the web for all the latest nail art. I may be a principal, educator and a judge, but I'll still have to keep myself updated and on trend!

Anyway, I found this particular nail design which features an accent on just the ring finger and I'm in love with it. It is suitable for bridal nails, but if it were for daily wear, it's a soft and muted form of chic and hipster style.

I'll definitely be pimping my ring nail with this design this weekend! ;)

The week ahead is still long since it's only the mid-week, but I'm looking forward to my overseas trip with my students for their international nail examination! [I hope they've been practicing hard!] From the bottom of my heart, I wish them all the best and let's have fun together on that trip!

LAST WEEK OF MARCH ALREADY??

Omgoodness, it’s the last week of March! I’ve barely finish planning nail art workshops for the month of April…

Well, to update you girls, this coming April, Pink Room will be having a Melody-ProNail Art Class and we will also be having the Knit Hi-5 Seminar again.

Do stay tune to Pink Room’s FB Page for more upcoming workshops: https://www.facebook.com/PinkRoomNails.PRINA

Well, other than fancy nail art workshops, do you girls know about the few basic foods that can give you strong, healthy nails? Scroll down to find out!

It has been another fulfilling week and the recent Knit Hi-5 Seminar has been rather meaningful for me. It really warms my heart to see that there are girls willing to pick up such an intricate technique!

I still remember when I first learnt it myself, it was not easy! As I had classes and events to attend in the morning, I had to stay up during the night to constantly practice this Japanese knitted design. Although it’s difficult and back-breaking, I was so infatuated with this nail design! It is so cute~

When I finally mastered it, my first thought is to tell all Pink Room’s students about it so they don’t have to start learning from scratch like I did. Save time for them! The Knit Hi-5 seminar that happened last Wednesday was a fruitful one and we had such a long session that it ended around 9 plus at night! Hahas, too much loves and feels for this nail design.

Well, I’m in the midst of prepping for another Knit Hi-5 Seminar this coming Monday, do join me if you’re equally passionate about this nail design! Cheers and peace girls XOXO

Happy Mid-Week Girls!! xoxo

Happy Mid-Week Girls! This week is flying pretty fast for Pink Room! (#fastandfurious) On a side note, this week is almost over and Friday is just two days away…

OMG HAVE YOU GIRLS PLANNED WHAT TO PAINT ON YOUR NAILS YET??

You can have the perfect sultry dress, the right amount of make-up, the gorgeous heels and a cute little handbag, but how would you feel if you gently lay your hands on the table and your nails are disappointingly plain?

Well, to help you handle this distressing matter, I found the right article that’ll help you choose and understand the right nail shade for you! You may be a classic and demure girl or an androgynous and cool chick, this article has all the right shade explained and sorted out for you to browse and I absolutely loved it:

(I am totally going for Hot Neon colours!!)

Do take care of your claws and paws girls~

IT'S MOONONOMOMONDAY!!!

It's Monday again! Oh my, last week flew by so fast I barely had time to blog everything!

How do I even begin to describe Mondays?? They are the start and the end, they are hateful and refreshing, gosh, don't you all just have mixed feelings about Mondays?!

But ultimately, I think no one should look bad when you already feel horrible. Everyone should dress up REAL FANCY today! Pick up that bold glittery red heels you've always loved and that professional-looking dress that you know will give you all the attention you wanted! A little can go a long way~ But have you decorated your nails??

Secondly, other than dressing up, it is essential for everyone to stay on top of their tasks and planned schedules. As a very busy woman myself, I'm always on the look out for tips to further improve and better myself. Recently, I came across this article on Oprah's website (http://www.oprah.com/home/How-to-Stay-Organized-Tips-from-Organized-People) and their tips to stay organized:

1. Walk Away from Bargains

Just because you can buy a cashmere sweater for $20 or three bottles of ketchup for the price of one doesn't mean you should. "Ask, 'Do I have something similar?' and 'Where am I going to store it?' before making a purchase," advises New York City professional organizer Julie Morgenstern

2. Make Peace with Imperfection

Efficient people give "A-level effort" to the most important projects (say, work assignments or a kitchen redesign), and for the rest they do just enough to get the job done, says Renae Reinardy, PsyD, a psychologist who specializes in hoarding disorders. Maybe you give yourself permission to bring store-bought cookies to a school bake sale or donate a bag of stuff—unsorted!—to Goodwill. "Trying to do every task perfectly is the easiest way to get bogged down," says Reinardy.

3. Never Label Anything "Miscellaneous"

You put a bunch of things into a file or box and write this catchall across the front. "But within a week you've forgotten what's in there," says Morgenstern. Instead, sort items into specific groups—"electric bills," "lightbulbs," and so on.

4. Schedule Regular Decluttering Sessions

Rather than wait until an industrious mood strikes (we all know where that leads), have a decluttering routine in place—whether it's spending 15 minutes sorting mail after work or tackling a new project every Sunday afternoon.

5. Stick with What Works

"I have clients who will try every line of makeup, every cell phone—it's exhausting," says Dorothy Breininger, president of the Delphi Center for Organization. Don't waste time (and money) obsessively seeking out the best thing.

Such great tips! Cheers to a great and efficient week ahead! XOXO
